Chinese Android phones came bundled with third-party app store. Huawei, after US embargo, still has strong presence in Asia even without Google Play Store. Xiaomi has GetApp, Samsung has, too.

Apple, on the other hand, would not let you sideload apps.

It's my habit now to diss someone spreading sketchy information they got from Facebook and/or that website formerly known as Twitter.

Just use third-party DNS resolvers with ad-blocking feature.

Indeed. Most apps I got on the homepage, mostly fast cash lending apps, were developed from China, and then outsourced its customer-based services to my country.

Recent Firefox Android releases reload a recently-visited website whenever I'm switching an app and go back to browser after a few seconds. Sometimes, it doesn't load. I've been using Firefox since 2021, and this was never happened to me before.

Play Store doing this since September, at least in my region (SE Asia). If you disabled personalized ads on your Google Account, Play Store homepage displays ads that are frequently installed from your country/state.

I bought my device last year, completely relapsed my "no smartphone life" I started in 2021. I mainly use my device for banking, Viber, and casual web browsing when I'm outside. Its battery can last up to next day/night.

Okay sana Pixel 6A and 7A, may doubts ako when it comes to their bootloaders. Ang mahal naman ng Sony Xperia mid-rangers at Zenfones.

May nakita ako before na i-add somewhere sa settings pero would like to understand sana on what it entails.

Go to Settings/Connection and Sharing/Private DNS. Search for suitable DNS resolvers.

I use MIUI, so my privacy is already kapoot.

But you can still lessen the tracking by replacing your DNS with Quad9 or NextDNS, and use a privacy-friendly web browser like ungoogled Chromium and Firefox. Based on my NextDNS analytics, Qualcomm aggressively collects anonymous device data, and I don't think that they will use it maliciously.

Currently, my device is Redmi Note 11 (MIUI EU ROM, tanggal crapwares, less ads). This will be my last Xiaomi device, and going to use this until it breaks and/or slows down the performance.

Atleast sa Shopee, nagtetext kapag may delivery and within a day mare-receive na. 98% success rate ko dito (some deliveries are cancelled due to bad weather and/or non-working hours).

Ayoko sa Lazada. Nakakalito ng UX nila, both desktop and mobile.
