3D files for PS2 FAT case? (self.playstation)
submitted 1 year ago by Cmmndrkn to c/playstation

I've managed to find plenty of different shells from coloured to transparent to coloured transparent but this is all looking around on Aliexpress and the like and I've found either PS2 slim cases in super limited colours (mainly just clear), and my search for a 3d scanned case has come up fruitless as most models are display purpose only (or RaspberryPi sized) Has anyone got a proper inside and out 3d file of the FAT case, or knows of a site that sells them pre-made?

I know it's an expensive process, but I've seen the quality of work that comes out of PCBway and would absolutely love to run an old school transparent purple case my modded console to match the Dbrand PS5 transparent cases I've got in the mail.

Cheers

The problem is that we noticed, but nothing really happened. As it always is here in Aus.

Limitations of the keycaps that I bought. If you take a closer look you'll see a few of the standard caps still on the board too.

And I didn't build it from the ground up, but I did change the keycaps on it, so that counts right? I've been running this gorgeous Keychron K10 for just under a year now and it makes using the PC an absolute dream. Still running the stock Gateron G Pro Brown switches, and to be honest I don't really think I'll change from that, in this board at least. I'm also using the Keychron wooden palm rest, which should probably come standard with these because God damn are they a strain to type on without it. Only modifications I've done are the coiled cable and the keycaps, and aesthetically I feel they add quite a bit to the board, especially the shine-through keycaps, they really make the unicorn vomit colour scheme its currently set to pop off the board. Eventually I'd like to delve in to making my own board, but that'll probably come after this one has served its purpose.

The only gripe I have is that I forgot to order it in aluminium, and instead got the plastic body. Not that it feels cheap or anything, I'd just have preferred the high end feel of the metal body.

I love you and this. Thank you.

Hopefully this community sticks around here even if the subreddit reopens, I refuse to go back to reddit and I'd hate to lose the dank.

Cheers for the resource!

Good point, hadn't considered the individual repurcussions.

I got L and R tattooed on my (correct) thumbs to use as quick reference. They're incredibly useful.

I hoping that the encouragement Lance is getting from his 2nd dad helps him progress. I've been a fan of Stroll for a while, since he has shown a few times that he's not JUST a pay driver on daddy's money, but has some raw talent to back up his place in the championship. Not that I believe he could be a front runner, but I could see him touching the top 5 in the points consistently with the car he's currently in if he could just find the pace he has shown in worse cars.

This is actually really impressive. I wouldn't have even of thought to make my own cable like this. Props on the idea and execution.

Ultra Slim PS2 builds (self.playstation)
submitted 1 year ago by Cmmndrkn to c/playstation

Since stumbling across the Macho Nacho video this week (https://youtu.be/miAjfl1J8QA) I've been obsessed with the idea of building my own Ultra Slim PS2, but as a newbie to messing around with electrics I'm not wanting to get too far in over my head. Has anyone built one of these before? Would love some advice.

Straight up what I thought when I saw the title haha

Beautiful, exactly what I wanted from this community. While I'm enjoying the new start a lot of communities have had, r/formula1 has always been a fantastic subreddit even as it got bigger and bigger, thanks to the rules and moderation team. Glad to see an attempt to replicate it here, hopefully the discussion is just as strong.

I'm cautious, but optimistic. The devs haven't given me a reason not to trust them since I first got in to CS1 all those years ago, the DLC has always been fantastic, and the free base game updates that roll in with every new DLC release has been a positive. I'm keen for a more realistic look, and far better optimisations for PC. Unfortunately though it doesn't matter how good it looks when I'm still woeful at making cities haha.
