"To me, it sounds as cynical as possible: by earning and paying excise taxes in the aggressor country, the manufacturer is trying to expand production and sales of its products in Ukraine," she stated.

Bulach emphasized that the Ukrainian government should respond decisively by stopping the company's investments in the Ukrainian economy.

"We have to make a decision and ban any development, and possibly distribution, of the products of these two tobacco companies in Ukraine," she summarized.

As Ukrinform reported, the NACP has added Philip Morris International and Japan Tobacco International, the world's leading tobacco companies, to the list of international sponsors of war, as they continue to do business in Russia.

"These companies are breaking their promises. They are functioning as wartime profiteers," a Yale professor leading the investigation told CNN.

What I hope it will be:

  • 2D side-scrolling with similar gameplay as the original, but in renaissance painting style

What it is most likely going to be:

  • Open-world 3D action RPG just like God of War

The Vermont-based ice cream maker, a subsidiary of Unilever, caused a stir over the holiday weekend when it tweeted: “The United States was founded on stolen indigenous land. This Fourth of July, let’s commit to returning it.”

But Unilever, the Dutch-Anglo conglomerate whose brands include Dove soap and Cornetto ice cream, also has drawn the ire of the Ukrainian government for paying taxes to the Russian government.

The UK-based Moral Rating Agency, which alleges that Cornetto and another Unilever brand of ice cream, Magnum, continue to be sold in Russia, blasted the firm.

It accused company of helping Russian President Vladimir Putin invade Ukraine.

Apparently Bing Chat is able to do some maths. I asked Bing multiple variations of this question based on different speeds of the solar sail (e.g. what if it travels at 50% the speed of light). It was able to calculate both the travel time and the time dilation.

If it is only pulling the answer from web sources, how did it handle the variable speeds?

Bing Chat is doing quite well:

That’s an interesting question. Proxima Centauri b is a planet that orbits Proxima Centauri, the closest star to Earth. The planet orbits its parent star at a distance of roughly 4.6 million miles (7.5 million km) with an orbital period of approximately 11.2 Earth days. Proxima Centauri b is only four light years away from Earth.

A solar sail is a spacecraft that uses the pressure of photons from the sun or other light sources to propel itself. The maximum theoretical speed a solar sail could reach is around 420 kilometers per second, or about 1/4 of the speed of light. However, this would require a very large and thin sail, and a close approach to the sun. A more realistic speed for solar sails is 10% of the speed of light, or 67,100,000 mph.

Assuming a solar sail could reach 10% of the speed of light, it would take about 40 years to travel to Proxima Centauri b. However, this does not account for the time it would take to accelerate and decelerate the spacecraft, or the effects of gravity from other bodies in the solar system. A more accurate estimate would require a detailed trajectory analysis and simulation.

I even asked Bing to calculate the time dilation for the person on earth. It answered correctly with the formula and steps shown clearly.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Breakthrough_Starshot

A flyby mission has been proposed to Proxima Centauri b, an Earth-sized exoplanet in the habitable zone of its host star, Proxima Centauri, in the Alpha Centauri system. At a speed between 15% and 20% of the speed of light, it would take between 20 and 30 years to complete the journey, and approximately 4 years for a return message from the starship to Earth.

The first rule of gaming articles/posts: you do not mention the game titles

I hate this. I understand when a for-profit company tries to do this. But too many posts hide the game titles for no reason.

“These companies are breaking their promises. They are functioning as wartime profiteers,” Yale professor Jeffrey Sonnenfeld said. “It’s beyond disappointing. It’s shameful and unethical…

I created a magazine hoping that people who migrated from Reddit would find a new home. I intended to moderate the magazine, just to help the community grow.

It turns out there just aren't enough participants. It would be pointless if the moderator is the only person contributing to the community.

I don't see anything worth bragging about being a moderator. I do hope there is a way to "free" the magazine name so someone else can manage it.

Sounds like there will be a new field of work for people to select real images for feeding and training AI.

Until AI gets better at identifying AI generated content.

I don't like the boss fights, especially when the save point is too far.

Western companies are withdrawing from Russia under public pressure, but not everyone is affected. Three American corporations, including Mondelez, Mars and PepsiCo have shown rapid growth of their sales in Russia. All of them managed to cash in on the withdrawal of more conscious competitors.

That's what Bloomberg reported, citing the companies' financial reports and Russian tax data. The more the trade volume and profits of U.S. corporations in Russia grow, the more taxes they pay to the Kremlin. And the Russian authorities use this money to finance the war against Ukraine.

First of all, thanks for writing this wonderful app. I prefer this instead of the one developed by the tankies.

It is strange that only post title/header size can be adjusted. I have poor eyesight and prefer to have larger text size for comments etc.

Could you please add an option for "tap to collapse comments"?

By the way, will it be available on F-Droid?

There is a new word for the degradation of the internet, but it’s been happening for years. Why do we tolerate it?

So I asked Chat GPT to write an episode based on this title (I asked Chat GPT to make Michael innocent).

The Office: Season 10, Episode 1 - The Mistake

Michael accidentally knocks over a vase of flowers while helping his aunt with some chores. The vase shatters and cuts his aunt’s neck, causing her to bleed to death. He panics and runs away, leaving behind his fingerprints and DNA. He later learns that she left him a rare and valuable coin collection in her will, but he also becomes the prime suspect in her murder. He tries to prove his innocence, but he only makes things worse. He ends up being arrested and facing trial. Meanwhile, the rest of the office tries to cope with his absence and deal with their own problems. Dwight becomes obsessed with finding the coins, Jim and Pam struggle with their marriage, Andy tries to impress Erin, and Kelly and Ryan break up and get back together again. The episode ends with a twist, as Toby reveals that he is the real killer. He confesses that he was in love with Michael’s aunt and killed her out of jealousy. He also planted evidence to frame Michael. He apologizes and surrenders to the police.

My list:

  • Crosswords DS
  • Bejeweled 3
  • Plants vs Zombies
  • Peggle Dual Shot
  • Dragon Quest V
  • Mario Kart DS
  • Elite Beat Agents
  • Dragon Quest Heroes: Rocket Slime
  • Ace Attorney Phoenix Wright
  • Puzzle Quest

Final Fantas - people fighting over the last cans of Fanta in the world.

Chrono Tigger - the adventures of Tigger travelling to Christopher Robin's adulthood.

Secret of Man - NSFW
