They have considerably better options now, as hiring a fully trained person is much cheaper and faster for a department. Surrey has just trained a lot of other cities’ cops for them.

Right? Absolutely no point to the pads, since you can dematerialize anywhere and rematerialize anywhere else. They might as well hide the equipment and make a nicer reception area.
The one that’s still clearly visible and gives no indication of having been deleted? You’re welcome. If you have the option not to call police, great. They should not be the first call. Some areas and people don’t have a choice, and the idea that they’re as good as murdering their loved ones for calling police is ridiculous and mean.
Police deal with thousands of mental health crises every day without issue, but sure, go ahead and try dealing with the violently mentally ill person yourself.
I believe this is specific to America, or at least it’s not universal. Authorized users’ credit is not affected in Canada.
Because a user base has yet to demonstrate that there will be significant consequences for such actions. Maybe there will be, but they will be less-tangible long-term consequences that can’t easily be attributed to these actions.

Eventually I navigated to startrek.website/c/[email protected] and found the community. I’ve now been able to subscribe to the community, but can’t see old posts.
Will I ever be able to? If I want to interact with older posts, am I SOL, or do I just need to be patient until older posts sync?
