I was at a subsidiary of a very large company and had work slack, email, and all my code on my phone, without even the thing that lets them remote wipe your phone.

It has to do with culture and willingness to put in the effort by the security organization

What does your contract say? With this back to work bullshit I made sure my contract explicitly said I was remote.

Doesn't mean they won't change their mind but maybe I'll get severance instead of fired for cause of they have a back to the office push.

It's the most important one we have left. But I'm with you, how many of these elections can we have before that rhetoric doesn't arouse is anymore.

Same thing happened to me. My ex wife and friends rented the house. They say the pullout bed was bent when they pulled it out the first night.

The owner says it was damaged beyond repair and had Airbnb charge me $3000 for it.

Airbnb doesn't give a shit. They banned me because I refused to pay for it.

The hell does that mean? They are a shithead CEO, doesn't need to be more than that.

I've heard about this stuff in passing. Glad it is still going on

I used an lcars windowing system decades ago. Can't recall if it was a windows theme or a Linux window system.
It was neat but not really that usable at the time

When do we as a society say that a corporation has done so much damage they need to be taken a apart.

When do the execs that hid this information get prosecuted for destroying the future of our children?

They had lolipops too I think. Never used either though

Hurricanes rip poorly built roofs off all the time. Builders get lazy and install the hurricane anchor things wrong. At least the local home inspector on Reddit used to say

That is IIS, all it means is you are probably talking to a windows server. Is the traffic encrypted? What port is it going to?
