I was REALLY patient for this one but: Silent Hill (ps1). I tried to play it last year, ran into the creature in the alley at the very very start and immediately turned it off. Too spoopy for me. Finally decided to try again because the Silent Hill lore is just way too fascinating. Have made it through a lot farther this time (just passed the dog house now) and still going strong.

Don't think its "technically" considered professional advice (since I'm just looking for general info), but not sure where else to turn. I have been apart of the corporate world for a while, and even though I follow all the rules, my companies consistently find ways/loopholes to screw me over.

Are there any industries or careers that are kind of easy to get into with strong union protections?

When I say "easy" I understand there will be education involved, but I already have a degree and am scared to waste more money and time (for seemingly nothing) again.

I have no desire to get rich or anything, I'm just hoping to get ideas on what I can pivot my career to so I can support myself and my loved ones without worry of the rug being pulled out from under me again.

I work 8-4 with a paid lunch and I'm hourly. Don't think it was like this at previous jobs though

How do I learn about DIY modern electronics? (self.nostupidquestions)

Not really sure where to ask this, as even the Google answers are very confusing for me.

I'm interested in DIY consumer(?) electronics. For e.g I saw a video of someone buying a used tablet screen, a display board, and made himself a little portable monitor. Or I have a retro handheld, and some people open theirs up, and replace the speaker in it. They buy the actual little tiny speaker from China and put it in themselves.

This stuff is cool as hell how do I learn how to do this?? I know I can look up project guides and recreate them, but I'd eventually like to be able to do my own things (like if I want to make some kind of soldering change?) And I assume that requires more in depth knowledge.

I should also add I have absolutely 0 prior knowledge about electronics.

Hey fellow connoisseurs,

I'm in a bit of a bind and need some opinions. I'm looking to buy this 2 footer beaker from a local shop. It's an amazing price already and even comes with a perc catcher.

I'm not too worried about the quality of the product (I trust them), but I was wondering if there's any benefits to such a HUGE bong besides liking it. Is it better than a regular/smaller bong, or one that's more specialized like a recycler?
