ignoring Chekov's Gun as a writer is my favorite past time

it's also just dangerous to make your cat think it's safe to be around something that could maim or kill them. I reel every time I see a 'cute' photo of a cat in a drying machine or on top of the oven. teach your cat that place is NOT safe

not at all. I'm just a scaredy cat

my mom didn't want me watching Lion King because she was worried I was gonna get scared of like the hyenas and scar.

which is completely acceptable because I was very easily scared. For example Darth Maul and the dementors from Harry potter made me condemn the series because I was terrified of every seeing them again

I love hearing about the evolution of languages. a third of the shorts I see on YouTube are etymology types and it's been so fun learning how stuff changes over time, where words come from. its so cool and really shows how language is designed to be a fluid construct

honestly, this is something I needed to hear. my family has been pretty anti-credit (dad was bad with money) and my own hatred for the system grew once I started working at a retail chain. to know this is just another part of the fucked up system kinda gives me hope I can either escape it or dismantle it

you're not obligated to like someone just because they're related to you.

honestly, there's no reason he should consider you guys as 'ungrateful'. bearing children is a commitment, not an investment.

hey if this stops the slip that gets chugged out on the store I'm all for it

[–] Caesium 3 points 1 month ago

yes I've been playing it a lot lately! its got some really fun world exploration and the detail for clothes is immaculate. the story is kinda campy in the beginning but I got used to it and have been really enjoying it so far :3

even got me to re-download Love Nikki tbh

I don't expect gifts, I don't give gifts. not for Christmas at least. I prefer the quality time over anything.

if I'm to do gifts, its either handmade (takes time) or I make sure it's something there person genuinely wants before even buying it

simple. don't get gifts. if you're buying just because it's the time of the year to do so, it just seems shallow

one for each stat!

front and messy back. i went to a craftstore with my mom a couple months ago and bought a kit on a whim. found out I really like the process of cross stitching! I definitely made some mistakes for sure but I've already ordered materials for my next project :3c So far I'm not a huge fan of back stitching but I can see the promise in it.

filtered water bottles? (self.hydrohomies)

I want to get better at consuming water and I think my biggest downfall is water quality currently. The water where I live is very hard (and constantly getting polluted thanks 3M) and while I can usually trust what we do at home, there's no way I can trust my work to properly filter the water they provide us. I remember using a filtered water bottle back in high school but I lost that at some point. While I've done some research into what's available results were inconclusive. Any homies got any recommendations for me?

It's called The Bride of Barbaroi for those wondering. Unless I misunderstood the translation it gets revealed that the main love interests are aunt and nephew.
