While I sometimes get annoyed with Apple and the App Store policies, I also view this as a differentiator. It’s arguably more secure. It’s a trade off I can live with.

It will be interesting to see how Apple plays out the third party store.

This is not going to be popular but Apple’s walled garden is why I am a customer. The fact that they don’t carry decades of baggage into to their ecosystem is a benefit. Did I hate that I had to leave a perfectly fine 2012 iMac because no more updates and missing features? Sure, but I got a decade out of one computer.

They control the hardware and software in a tightly integrated manner that works great. People who complain about this not being open… you’ve got other options. To me, it’s a product differentiator.

Before someone says I’m not capable of using a “real” OS, I ended up here in 2007 due to OSX with its *nix backend. I started time sharing on a VAX8800, built a career on Sun stuff, jumped to Linux in 1994 doing development (submitted driver updates, FAQs and more). I’ve never looked back and I’m certain I am as efficient and productive as I can be. I use Linux and Windows as well but for different things.

ngl, I hope they figure out more malicious compliance to make the Reddit management looks like fools before nuking it from orbit.

I am! I don’t need to watch the leaders to enjoy the race. So much always going on in the mid field too.

It’s an ARPG. They are meant to be grindy. You are going to get level capped at 50 so try to finish the campaign around that time. There is new content right after beating the campaign like Helltides. I find these fun and the mystery chests can drop some decent gear.

Edit: the game isn’t meant to be rushed. In Endless you can take all the time you want. Play what your time allows. Seasons will be a different issue but skipping means you’ll miss out on some achievements, some skins and maybe extra stash tabs. We’ll see - they may end up selling some of this in the store. As long as it isn’t pay to win and people with limited time can skip ahead on QoL (extra stash, cosmetics), I’m fine with it.

I can kill him (level 74) but it still takes too much time. I just switched to WT4 so still working on ancestral gear upgrades.

I’m just playing the meta ice shards sorc. It’s been fun. I used to play a lot of minion builds in POE so skipped necro. Played them all in the various betas. I think I might give Rogue a try when the season starts.

A good reason to get one is for endless hot water. We had kids in sports and on Sunday night everyone could shower and run the clothes washer. Now they are out of the house it doesn’t make much sense. We also live in a drought state so hour long showers aren’t an option.

Another reason is space. We reclaimed the water tank space and put in a mud sink.

Reasons to stick with a traditional tank:

The tank can act as a water supply, if you need it.

The upfront costs to add upgrade the gas line and venting are steep.

Man, fuck The Butcher. It was fun the first few times but he pops up like every other Nightmare Dungeon. No good drops either and isn’t worth the time it takes to kill him.

But the underlying technology has not changed much, if at all. The Tesla battery is nothing more than what is a bunch of Li-Ion battery cells wired together.

I’ll give it a shot. Running self hosted or a VPS isn’t an issue. Thanks.

Any idea on what the monthly cost is going to run?

I’m not going to argue anything on that clip but it did make me laugh. People can be very clever.
