Say what you like about them, nothing gets under their skin... but don't crack any Irish jokes, they don't have the stomach for it.

But what about the new users who complain about the slightly less new users, who might simply be slightly older ex-Reddit users who wish to complain?

What about people who complain only about subreddits like r/donut - should they not, instead, complain about the hole thing?

I'm considering a new tack, to make posts complaining about people who complain about posts about people complaining about Reddit.

Do you think it will catch on?

The whole premise is a miss for me. The idea that $260 is cheap (because Omega's cost $2500) is, frankly, stupid.

A watch should primarily display the time (in a permanently visible face) and possibly add the option for some audible reminders.

Changing batteries is a big problem, and so Solar (or Kinetic IDK) is an essential concept.

Casio with bold analog face, I can see the time without my glasses, and without even directly looking at the watch face (peripheral vision when riding my bike).

It has a digital inset with options for hourly chime, automatic day/date, and enough accuracy so I only adjust it once every 6 months or more...

It cost 1500 THB (maybe $25) and never needs a battery change...

7 years later it is always there for me to see the time.

So it is much more reliable than any smartwatch, and more functional then the majority of watches on sale.

Most movies and tv shows are from books, and reading the book is 99.5% better.

Think of talking Bladerunner movie and doing it as a 30 minute short.

The best thing about comments is that they draw pretty coloured nesting lines.

I am the cat in this image.

Can you find the cat? Maybe circle the cat and re-up to a comment to help your Lemmie friends.

This sub stands out on Reddit for me, but I have no idea where it's content comes from. I actually found it via a Digg RSS link...

So I remain largely a lurker.

r/watchitfortheplot was about my top sub TBH.

Haha.

I find the best way to handle withdrawal is to change your habit. I spent time grabbing a few books, and spent a few days with my Kindle or with Foliate fullscreen on my HDTV.

So before, I'd probably spend time answering r/firefox, looking at r/firefoxcss - now I start with 1/2 hour reading Great Expectations. After reading a chapter, I play the same chapter via audiobook - meanwhile I have a couple of TV/Movie versions queued up to watch after finishing reading.

After that I'd probably get into some DadJokes - I can do that on https://lemmy.world/c/dadjokes

Next up, an hour reading The Midnight Library
