Don't feel guilty it depends on where you lived. I voted green party I believe but I live in Delaware and that won't affect the race outcome at all
Not every state allows it and if they do it has to be a special reason in most states. So you must live in a lucky state or had an excuse every year
Hmm. Being interested in what is going on in your friends or loved ones life is a way of caring about a person. Do you like to share any details about your life at all with friends or family? What connects you to these people? Or is it you just don't care about these parts of others lives?
I wouldn't call it dishonest it would call it caring for another human being doing things you don't care for for another person builds closeness, familiarity, and tightens bonds. Knowing or listening to details of other people's lifes just deepens lore and fills out things that are happening in someone's life.

You said the goal is to raise the quality of life of everyone right? You have to get 51%(of the people who vote) to agree on something for the presidency the person who represents everyone in the nation. Why should Wyoming have as much power for voting for president as delaware. Wyoming has around half of the population. Also in another problematic shift why do we have a winner takes all system in all but 1 or 2 states. Your vote doesn't count and gets completely thrown away in most states if you don't vote for the popular party in that state. 1 electoral college vote is 536k people in the state of Florida. 1 electoral college vote in Wyoming is 144k people.
A popular vote would mean a democrat vote in Alabama matters as much as a vote in California. And vice versa in for Republicans. Right now neither party cares about either state because they will always vote for their respective party and all the losing party votes of that state get thrown away(except new Hampshire) the parties only care about "swing" states and states on the edge rather than the voter. We have a whole system that reallocate the Electoral college votes to population anyway but with a minimum and only gets reassessed every 10 years.
Why does a state have an identity to matter for voting for a president. They have congress and senate. Wouldnt be easier to find people who cares about the same issue across state lines. Farmers of Indiana would have a larger say if they combine with the farmers of Ohio and their voice can be heard more. Versus we can ignore one state because it isn't a swing state.
Majority tyranny versus a minority tyranny....which would be better...the constitution us there so we don't fuck each other up more. But why should the minority of people in America be able to tell the majority of people what to do in this country. Also again one office should represent just the majority opinion versus the senate which is the majority in each state and congress a majority in each smaller section of a state. Where as today the president is the majority of population in each state(essentially senate) weighted by population but we over weight smaller states and have different equalities all over the place which is what congress already is. Which also should be increased in size.
Lastly why are the states unequal the senate is ridiculously unequal favoring all the smaller states. Why shouldn't California be like 12 states?

The thing is you live in what is called the imperial core if you are a western nation citizen and especially if you are an American citizen. You get what you want for dirt cheap prices(even if you think it is expensive). Turns out many things you own or get is at the expense of other people who still live in dirt houses or just don't know where their next meal will come from or just in general an exploited people who isn't getting a sustainable compensation for their work. You get chocolate, an electric car, or diamonds at dirt cheap prices from the labor of people who don't even know what chocolate tastes like. You get chocolate because you enjoy chocolate. Chocolate is cheap because you demand it to be so you can have a little treat. You winge at learning about something while eating chocolate. We are sitting comfortable eating chocolate while you cry about learning about inequalities. You are asked to think about inequality about your little treat. It isn't about chocolate at all. Just take some time to consider your little treat is making someone millions while the person's hands who made it is hungry and will die at 40 because of the conditions they live in.
No we don't expect you to completely stop eating chocolate. No we don't expect you to change the world. We ask you to just think about other people for a moment while you take a break. I know it is hard since most people are being exploited in a different way here in the west and we have our own lives but at least we have so much food here that we won't go hungry with programs to help funded by how rich we are. While people who made our little treat dedicate some farm land for our tasty morsel when they are hungry themselves. Never to even know that there hands create a delicious thing we can buy for less than 20 minutes of our labor in America
He made a gofundme. He didn't donate to it. He also took credit for a charities bringing trucks of food and supplies. Again no proof he helped just took local police resources away from relief efforts as he made a speech
To prep my day. As a late shift I want to know what I am walking into rather than be anxiety ridden for my 4 hours of day light. That being said I don't respond I just check to see what is happening
