Ah gotcha. That is enjoyable to me - like "Wow, that was crazy/interesting. I wonder where else they could go with this concept." Usually it's the tech enabled crazy dystopia thing that gets me, so the Loch Henry ep just felt like any old show.

Pilot was okay. Was intriguing at the time, but if I watched again I'd find it boring

How would you describe the post-watch period where you are thinking about the show? "Aftertaste" got the meaning across, so ๐Ÿคทโ€โ™€๏ธ

I suppose what I felt is that many of the shows felt futuristic, like they could happen but we aren't there yet, with a sci-fi vibe mixed in. This season felt like it could be right now, so hit harder I guess

Beehaw is the third largest instance (midwest.social is an instance). Beehaw decided to defederate from lemmy.world and sh.itjustworks, after some users from those instances were brigading beehaw posts, since they don't have good enough mod tools to address it the way they'd like.

It should be a temporary measure until better mod tools are developed, and at that point they will consider refederating with those instances

In the meantime, that means users from those instances can't interact with Beehaw users, and vice versa

Paint on the exterior of a home will need to be redone periodically

Windows will probably need to be cleaned once a year to be clear

Buy a drain snake and learn to use it. You'll inevitably need it

Dust will accumulate faster than you expect, especially if you have/get pets

Change you furnace/AC filters regularly

Hose down your outside AC coil annually

Maybe learn to clean the flame sensors in your furnace. They can get covered in soot type material or oxidation over time and stop your furnace functioning

If you have a water softener, play with the regen timing. Old owners needs and your may vary, you may need more or less often

Garage doors have gears, those gears may need to be greased periodically

If you have bathrooms you don't use normally, use them once in a while to keep the p-traps full (every 6 months at least)

I do in one bathroom... in my defense, it was like that when we bought the house, I'm very clean and the only one that uses it sometimes, and just haven't bothered to fix it yet

It means we can't see/talk to them, and vice versa. You may still see old beehaw posts and comments, that were already cached on our side, and can even interact with them, but none of that data will make it to them
