I used to be a freenet user and oh boy. but most blamed the decentralization rather than the people themselves.
in all though I think admin might actually be betting on those communities because there is a strong demand and a steady supply, good stuff for reddit's sustenance, and if kept far enough away for good plausible deniability, they'd prolly like to keep it that way. Its a damn shame that admin had a reaction of anything other than reporting and takedown.
