Have you ever seen hedgehogs eat? Now, imagine one that's starving

Man, I feel old, but watching my kid and students and their friends when something goes wrong with one of their devices is sad. Like, my students and kid are learning martial arts, with weapons, but they can't figure out how to sideload a fucking app on their own. Gods forbid they have to learn something about the damn things they have glued to their faces lol

I trust any of them with a knife, but I'll be damned if I'd let them clear the cache in my phone.

So I'm never surprised at the inability of people to adapt to new things

Legit, there's something strangely satisfying in taking a cold hotdog straight from the package, slapping it onto a piece of bread with some condiments and just going down on it like a starved hedgehog.

There never was

Dammit! I've been using a sci-fi version of the idea in my role playing system for decades lol.

No. Fuck zuck, and anything in his grubby little paws

[–] [email protected] 2 points 1 year ago

I was tired of it before they launched it.

The only good chrome book is one running Linux lol

That is such a great song. Alas,, the band is gone. But the singer is doing solo stuff (her tinydesk performance was awesome), so it isn't a total loss

You gotta spread the word.

But, being real, it's going to be slow. The nature of the beast with lemmy/kbin is that there's a very long discovery process. So, not only do your have to spread awareness of your c/, you have to have those users be active on a lot of other ones, and feel motivated to share links on yours.

There's the new communities c/ on lemmy.world (I think? Could be lemmy.ml, my brain is fried rn) though. It's helped me discovery wise. And you can't be afraid to do a little self hype. Like, when you find something to post on your magazine, tell/ask the person you're borrowing from that you did so/want to. Provide a link to that bestof post as well.

Yeah, it's shameless self promotion, but you won't have to do it long, assuming the lemmy/kbin world stays steady.

Edit: make sure your link is formatted right for jerboa/app use as well.
