In-app purchases for some extra features and supported development is the main reason I’d like to see it in stores.

While I agree with the other commenter, I also think it has something to do with just releasing a better overall encode/rip. As you know, sometimes release groups “race” each other. This may result in some corner cutting that it’s addressed later.
Definitely not bro. I got a server running the arr suite with download clients and have to buy HDDs to store the content and run maintenance and updates and and and and and. Don’t get me wrong, I am a nerd and love doing that, but I wouldn’t call it “convenient”.

Have you tried a “private” PleX instance? You find those on shady facebook groups. Basically you pay 10 bucks a month for a “server” but it’s no other than a PleX user (with 1 or more screens) and billons and billions and billions (of hours of content)
