Joe Rogan says he respects fighters competing in promotions like Bellator or PFL but he feels like they are often wasting their careers because no one is watching and there’s nothing like being in the UFC.

That's easy to say when you're the voice of that organization and you're already filthy rich. But the UFC is notoriously stingy for such a high risk sport.

Guys who are winning vast sums in these Grand Prix' probably don't feel they're wasting their careers more than those making 10k on the prelims in the Apex

There are certainly more opportunities for UFC fighters to get rich, but that comes with fame no matter how you get it. The fact is that even these "unwatched" organizations are often paying several times what the UFC pays. Can't blame a young fighter for wanting a bigger bag up front.
