It’s been painfully clear for 8 or so years.
Yeah as if simultaneous DNC/GOP Russian hack where they didn’t release any GOP files, or Trump acting like a submissive little bitch whenever in the same room as Putin, or a dozen GOP leaders flying to Moscow to personally deliver a letter to Putin on the 4th of July wasn’t enough evidence already.
We know what where and who the problem is, and we know what the one working solution to fascism in all of recorded history is.
Nobody wants to be first.
I don't think it's that complex, honestly. I think they're just bootlickers, and Russia, being an authoritarian oligarchy, is the natural ally of 'conservatives' in America.

Russia hacked both the DNC and RNC email servers. They released the DNC emails, which is how the whole email server became a thing for Hillary, and she had to deal with accusations of satanic ritual recipes or whatever.
They did not release the RNC emails.
Instead, several of republican senators went to Moscow on July 4th.
Shortly after that, we had the leaked tape of Paul Ryan trying to shush other republicans who were talking about which of their colleagues were on Putin's payroll.
You're not wrong that some of them are bootlickers, but it isn't an either/or proposition. These people are fascists who believe that might makes right. Russia has shit on them, and therefore the natural order is for them to kowtow until they are ascendant and will do the same to others. This is what they have told us time and again that their worldview is.
Oh yeah, I definitely believe that at least some of the GOP has compromat leveraged on them. But the Rep's talk about "Why in the world would good conservatives do this?" misses that 'good conservatives' love the kind of authoritarian shit that Russia gets up to.
Tim Burchett is maybe the dumbest person in Congress, and that includes Boebert. Still though, you know what they say about broken clocks...
