MODERATORS

Welcome to the new format of [email protected]! Instead of the daily post focusing on the NYT crossword like on /r/crossword, we're now open to discussion for all daily crosswords.

I request using Lemmy's spoiler function if you plan on discussing answers - to avoid spoiling the crossword for others. It's not something I plan on enforcing, just want everyone to extend courtesy to others. For those checking the comments, some spoilers may slip by, so please proceed into the comments with caution.

I aim to post these at 10 PM EST the day before, in line with the current post times.

If there are any other crosswords you would like to see added to this list, please let me know and I will add it in a future post.

Thank you for being a part of this community!

I.27 on mini, only one minor mistake (spoiler: stupidly put tip for 1A)

Don't understand the circled letters

The circled letter thing is sort of a pun.

NYT mini: 2:29, yeah, that one was super hard for me. Blame the two days of drinking.
USA today: 1:39, who likes baseball anyway.

  • WaPo: 3:23 (wew, WaPo is hard)
  • Arkadium: ??:?? (the timer's busted. I might remove this one from future posts)
  • Telegraph: 2:01 (used a hint)
  • Modern Crossword: 2:58 (used a hint)

Found the NYT Tuesday to be tougher than usual. Possibly because I am half asleep. Had to check grid.

Netword was far simpler. Puzzle Society Universal was approachable as well.

The Telegraph Cross Atlantic had a theme that I liked, but some of the clues/answers are quite British-focused. Clueless about them.
