I think they should just slightly shrink the star then move the dark blue chevron a tad bit to the left.

A community all about flags! We'll see what they decide on. To be clear, the thumbnail of this thread isn't what they've decided on, just a potential design they might use. They're also looking at a bunch of others, though I don't like most of them very much.
I would shrink the star and leave the chevron.
It's nice, really close to the unofficial Cascadia flag though.
