Jerboa is a native-android client for Lemmy, built using the native android framework, Jetpack Compose.

Warning: You can submit issues, but between Lemmy and lemmy-ui, I probably won't have too much time to work on them. Learn jetpack compose like I did if you want to help make this app better.

I'm on Android 13, May Security patch, AOSP. Rest of the apps work fine, no scrolling jitter whatsoever. Is there any way to fix it, or is it just a "me" problem :(

edit: my phone has a snapdragon 870, 8GiGs of ram and I got around 80GiGs of free storage left

The issue I have is that the app seems to forget where I was when I leave a thread and want to continue where I left off scrolling through community posts. So I have to scroll, scroll, scroll, to get back to where I was, tap a new thread, rinse and repeat. The scrolling itself seems limited to a relatively small number of threads added as it loads, but if the issue above was resolved, I probably wouldn't have even noticed.

So I'm not crazy! This is the one thing about the app that just feels jank

Not a you problem - I have it too and I've seen others comment elsewhere with the same observation.

From a Mi 9T here.

Haven't run into that on a Galaxy S22. Sometimes when the load is high on the servers it does something that could be interpreted as a stutter because the servers timeout and no content is loaded.🤷‍♂️

I'm on all around lower specs and have no scrolling issues.

figured it out: it's because I have a 120hz display. it works fine if I switch to 60
