That's a cool idea. I'm not sure how many people would spend the extra time to tag their posts though.

You'd be surprised, especially depending on the community
Even a small chunk would be useful, I think the main problem might be moderating the tags? Maybe people can downvote tags to show they're not fitting
I love the idea. I can see how it could be abused, but that's true of anything when you get a group of humans together. I think your moderation idea could work.
