Didn't Steam give out stickers (or some other small reward) for submitting nominations, and allow people to nominate games they had never played? I wouldn't be surprised if a lot of the Starfield nominations were blind and/or shill votes.
Todd Howard personally promised them a canvas bag.
I came here to post this lol. I honestly can not think of a single element of that game that isn't already in another Bethesda game, let alone another RPG.

And Remnant 2, a copy of the already existing Remnant 1. I mean Steam awards is usually just whatever game is most popular wins and with the nominations, looks like that isn't changing! Ah well, bit of fun aint it.
