FYI for anyone who has been crashing on pc and using an Xbox controller, in my case since launch. Try connecting your controller with a cable and updating its firmware with the Xbox accessories app.

I was crashing 3-4 times a day on a fairly high end PC regardless of settings, frame rate cap, or repair when I found someone in either a Reddit or forum thread who tied the crash log to something related to the controller and suggested this. Sure enough it worked for me, zero crashes since, though I haven’t jumped back in since the new patch.

Just thought I’d share in case others are as baffled as I was.

Thank you thank you thank you - this fix worked for me. Was sooo frustrating capping my fps to sub-50 to minimise the crashes (still crashed once a day). Last night after I patched my controller, I could run on full ultra settings (150 fps) and it was rock solid!

Congrats! Glad I could help. I had the exact same experience as you. One of the weirdest bugs I’ve encountered in my long history of gaming.

Edit: and as a side note WHY does crashing kick you out of your keystone dungeon and brick the key instead of just burning a life? Just, WHY. That was the worst part for me.
