I’m glad the money got donated, but this is still so odd. I still don’t understand why he kept saying they were donating the money to all these places during fundraising when they were sitting on the cash.

The worst part is that his explanation is contradictory. First he says that he thought that donations were made, and then he follows it up by saying "we were collecting money to make one big donation". Which one is it? Were you aware of the money not being donated, or were you not?

This contradictory explanation, together with him attempting to hide behind his mother's illness and his aggressive tone in the video, makes it pretty obvious that he simply got caught.

That’s what I was feeling watching it, too. Maybe it’s because I recently watched that big Hbomberguy video on plagiarism, where he went into detail breaking down another “My Response” video to someone accused, rightly, of wrongdoing, but this whole video had me more distrustful. I really want to be wrong, but something’s not adding up.

I believe this is the guy who had a charity that was supposedly raising money for years but never actually donated anything.

They forced him to donate at the end of November but he'd probably be sitting on that pile of cash still if he was not exposed.

Being a bad gamer probably

Jirard, aka The Completionist, addressed rumors of charity fraud and has threatened legal action against Karl Jobst and SomeOrdinaryGamers.

Accused of Charity fraud apparently. https://www.dexerto.com/entertainment/the-completionist-threatens-legal-action-against-karl-jobst-and-someordinarygamers-2423946/

Jirard's video makes me feel as though I'm at a bar with a drunk and he's going to hit me if I say the wrong thing.

Karl went for it though. I wondered if Jirard's last video would have scared him off a bit, but Karl just went for it.

I loved this line from Karl:

What a pathetic bitch.

He's welcoming an audit so now we can wait for the real legal professionals to dig into this. Mutahar uploaded a response but I'm honestly so tired of this situation that I won't even watch it. Karl and Mutahar should have stopped covering this on their initial videos because at this point it just feels like they're milking it for money. What jirard did is really bad and they should have left it there for the professionals to handle it. This is a serious case of fraud that youtuber's shouldn't be making conclusions on.

I completely agree. One video is informational, but they had multiple in a relatively short timespan. In many cases, he makes a video about a subject, then comes back some weeks later with a follow-up, and I think that's what he should've done. He says he's not doing it for drama, and I still kind of believe him, but at the end of the day it is drama, whether he intends it that way or not.

The initial video was great. He gathered information, went to the source to discuss it, and aired the relevant parts of that discussion. That should've been the end of it, even with the new information about the golf events. But no, he went on a second tirade about the golf thing (and he didn't seem to try to contact Jirard again), and that wasn't nearly as well researched as the original, and his follow-up to Jirard's response was almost an hour long, more than twice as long as actual response and had unprofessional, meme-y video loops.

So my take is that the first video was genuinely in search of a solution, the second was rushed, and the third was unprofessional "dunking" on Jirard. He made his point well in the first video and should've left the golf thing until he was able to research it better, which probably would've been combined with a response to Jirard's follow-up. I still absolutely respect Mutahar, I just think we went way overboard here.

situation

On a completely unrelated note, I don't like how often Mutahar uses that word...

But how will they get more War Thunder clicks and irresponsibly point where fans can report people if they stop making YouTube drama?
