Welcome to the annual Mbappé transfer saga!

So you telling me there's hope? #Mbabpe2024

[–] [email protected] 8 points 1 year ago (2 children)

God. I really fucking hope he doesn't join RM. They are pretty insufferable as is.

[–] Pee_on_tech 10 points 1 year ago (1 children)

There isnt a club that can afford mbappe that isnt insufferable

[–] [email protected] 3 points 1 year ago

Absolutely correct. Unfortunately.

What oil club?? I am not from europe.

[–] SatouKazuma 4 points 1 year ago (2 children)

Real and PSG are both owned by Arab oil sheikhs I believe.

Good callout. I'd honestly forgotten about that takeover, so I'm glad you bring that up. As a Bayern fan, I hope the DFB/Bundesliga never change the 50%+1 fan ownership rule.

Hello fellow Bayern fan, are there any plans to liven up the !FCBayern[email protected] subreddit? It’s the only one I could find and it’s virtually dead. r/fcbayern over at Reddit is going strong though…

[–] SatouKazuma 2 points 1 year ago (1 children)

I have absolutely no idea. I wouldn't mind helping out with it, but as far as current plans...I'm not a mod so I really can't comment.

[–] [email protected] 3 points 1 year ago (1 children)

I wasn’t sure about bringing it up on Reddit as I fear people aren’t really willing to change forum. As it is I’m just going to have to go without that community though because I really don’t want to go back to Reddit, much less contribute to it…

Maybe we’ll get more subscribers and contributors here!

[–] SatouKazuma 2 points 1 year ago (1 children)

Yup. Weil wir in guten wie in schlecten Zeiten, zueinander stehen.

Dieser sub scheint von einem der Reddit Mods des FCB subs erstellt worden zu sein: [email protected]!

Yes if we join it should be this one. No use making other communities. I have a link to this on the subreddit as well asking people to migrate here

[–] [email protected] 2 points 1 year ago (1 children)

I replied to your comment on Reddit. The reception has been pretty bad… as I thought the users just don’t care and will keep using Reddit…

[–] [email protected] 2 points 1 year ago

Yeah. People will just continue using what is comfortable for them irrespective of the potential concequences

[–] [email protected] 4 points 1 year ago (1 children)

No real are community owned. They don't have one owner.

Along with Barcelona, Athletic Bilbao and Osasuna, Real Madrid is organised as a registered association. This means that the club is owned by its supporters who elect the president.

Real Madrid I pressume, would you really want Mbappe when you have Vinicius? Feels somehow unfair to the amount of work he's done for RM.

[–] dimspace 2 points 1 year ago (1 children)

Liverpool....

Sorry, #Mbappe2022, #Mbappe2023, and now #Mbappe2024 have been a running theme for us

[–] [email protected] 1 points 1 year ago

Haha, alright, fair enough and good luck... but also not.

[–] [email protected] 6 points 1 year ago (2 children)

Why exactly are clubs so reluctant to let players leave on a free when they've been at the club this long? Surely a player like Mbappe has sort of "paid back" his transfer fee after all the time he's spent there?

[–] Tempor 5 points 1 year ago (1 children)

Because they want Mbappe to be the poster boy for the club. He has the perfect marketing potential for them - a Parisien playing for the city's biggest club, one of the best players in the world and young.

[–] [email protected] 3 points 1 year ago

Ah that makes sense but it's very stubborn. Mbappe doesn't seem to want that

[–] [email protected] 1 points 1 year ago

Still getting money back through a sale means you are making a handy profit.

[–] Gingerrific 4 points 1 year ago (1 children)

If PSG were smart they'd gut the team and focus on young, up and coming French talent. Their vanity project has failed, and they were as close to the CL championship as they will get for awhile.

[–] Voidsabre 6 points 1 year ago

if PSG were smart

I'm gonna stop you right there buddy
