Every time I see a Splinter I get the urge to buy one just because they're cheap. I don't really need another Rat, but I sorta NEED it.

It's basically a fat rat clone. It's been a solid pedal.
@OrdinaryAC if you aren’t supposed to have it then why does it sound so good? Right? I have an addiction.
Exactly. My biggest "problem" is I like and play all genres and styles. So I love all the fuzz, drive, distortion... from classic to modern, smooth to gnarly.
Try a tc electronic grand magus. ive owned many cheep rats and its by far the greatest one.
Yeah that one looks great, too. The beauty of both of the Grand Magus and Splinter is you can actually get them for the same price or cheaper than the real Rat.
Ayoh, Cool Cat Club Represent!
How do you like the glut cheeks? Is it as versatile as videos make it seem?
I like it. Having a bias on a tone bender circuit and fuzz face is a nice add.
I've been hot and cold for the hot wax for ages. I want to try one and would probably really like it, but I think between my existing pedals and amp I have the same ground covered.
Can you switch which way round the crayon and hot tubes comes in the chain?
Have you seen the Wampler Gearbox? I think I might go for that if I do gofor a 2 in 1
They appear to be in parallel, at least that's how it seems when I move the blend knob. So you cannot choose one over the other to come first that I can tell. I got it used so I still need to look up an owners manual.
Oh oh oooh you have a Splinter going into a Carcosa, those two are the first pedals on top of my wishlist right now! How do they sound stacked? I want to get fat doom tones out of them, going into an Orange style slightly dirty amp.
I don't usually stack them. I use the switch blade to either have an OD with fuzz/splinter in parallel, or I run the splinter into the plumes in series.
