Mahomes. The offense would be incredible.

He's the only one I would even consider... but then I'm not sure HOW MUCH better he could actually make our offense. And then on top of that, Mahomes is older and has a fat contract. All things considered, I think I'd stick with Purdy even over Mahomes.

First, we need to take Purdy's salary into consideration. Purdy's performance is much better than most QBs who have a bigger contract. Due to the salary cap, I think Purdy is the best one for us.

What if we can make the trade with no impact to the salary cap? Well, I would only consider Mahomes. He had proved his ability to throw accurately under pressure. Recall AFC Championship. https://www.espn.com/nfl/recap/_/gameId/401038850

This is just a thought experiment that helps inform the conversation about Brock Purdy as an MVP candidate. Honestly, I don't think I would trade Brock for anybody... whatever limitations he has are not preventing him from leading the league in just about every relevant quarterback statistic. His processing is top-tier according to several current and former players, including Steve Young. Maybe I'm missing something, but I just can't imagine somebody else doing any better than Brock on this team.
