Very interesting sprint race. Battles everywhere you look.

VER comfortably ahead after an early scare, PER scraping through into 2nd.

RUS and HUL making good strategy calls salvaged their races for them.

LEC a touch unlucky in the pits messed up his attack. Getting tangled up with OCO didn’t help. SAI looked rock solid but unimaginative, just held on for dear life and drove to a podium.

STR really should have given ALO that place, every point counts if anyone is going to have even an outside chance of attacking VER for the championship.

OCO being his usual bullheaded self made him 7th, RUS raced him to the line and was 9 thousandths of a second behind.

Very entertaining. 8/10.

Alonso is not fighting Verstappen, but he is fighting Perez.

ALO could be fighting VER if RUS has anything to say about it. 😛😛😛

But seriously the summer break might bring positive changes for the other teams so staying in the fight is important.

I’m very curious still, where HUL would have landed if he hadn’t pitted though. I think maybe he should have stayed out.

Tricky call right? I think he would have dropped like a stone if he did not pit. He started struggling around lap 11 I think.

Very! I think you’re most likely correct though, the Haas is hard on its tires.

Would argue that STR needs his points too. ALO has no hope of beating VER this year.

Verstappen is casually pulling a pit stop gap on people during a sprint. I don't think anybody has an outside chance for the championship

Who knows? A pack of lemurs might kidnap him before the end of the season. Got to keep fighting eh?

First sprint race I enjoyed watching, but that's just the wet to dry condition that makes everything interesting. The Stroll - Alonso fight was interesting to see though, I'm curious to see how the future plays out in Aston Martin now.

I really don't understand why Perez ruined the good thing he's got at Red Bull for a sprint race of all things though. Racing eachother is fine, but trying to push your golden goose teammate of the track on a straight is so dumb. Especially if you're already under scrutiny for not being able to get into Q3 in a car that people are vocally complaining about being too strong. (And thus all those people are implying that Perez is washed)

Actually a very enjoyable sprint! I still prefer regular race weekends, but the last minute pitstops were an exciting mixup. George seems pretty good with his strategy, too bad he couldn't find an extra tenth at the end. Oh and poor Lando losing so many positions in one corner lap 1. I hope he gets a podium this year.

We just need to do the rain dance on the Sprint weekends and it will be good. 😉😇😉😇😉😇

I enjoyed the race. I keep being impressed by the technical advantage Redbull have built. Max off in the distance as usual.

Russell got the timing of going to slicks right. Impressive pace from Landis McLaren, but he got unlucky ok the first lap.

Hope the remaining sprint races are as entertaining.
