None I put Jerboa in the same spot as my reddit app on my home screen. I used my muscle memory to my advantage.

I removed the app from my phone and replaced it with Jebora.

Ha, I am one of those dinosaurs that uses a browser on an actual computer. But I guess I could block the reddit domain to ween myself off of my addiction.

I logged in yesterday to take my sub dark and I've replied to a few comments on a post I made about a week ago looking for help with a router, but I used RiF to reply to the comments, other than that I've been using Lemmy

I replaced my Reddit app (boost) on my Homescreen with jerboa so muscle memory will always take me here And to be extra sure I paused the Reddit app so if I try to open it I would get a popup from Android if I am really sure

So to answer the question: since replacing the app on the Homescreen not a single time

Same here. Since my main habit is tapping that spot, it made sense to just change that spot to Jerboa. No accidental Reddit visits.

[โ€“] [email protected] 1 points 1 year ago

I did the same thing with Boost. I also blocked the entire site on my router just to be extra sure.

None yet, replaced the reddit app icon on my home screen with a Lemmy app instead. So, I've "accidentally" used Lemmy ๐Ÿ˜…

I deleted the app on my phone. I rarely used the website so no problem.

I keep going back to watch it all fall apart. I'll stop going once the API access is gone and I can't use RIF anymore.

Only one time yesterday to check if the blackout began and I thought I had my reddit addiction under control. But today I unintentionally clicked on reddit a couple of times :(

[โ€“] Moghul 2 points 1 year ago

I'm a pleb so I click stuff. I just replaced the bookmark in the same spot, and I replaced RIF with Jerboa.

On pc I blocked all Reddit sites on uBlock.

If you use Firefox, you can set a keyword for a bookmark, so when you type red, it will take you to that bookmark.

Plenty of times. I exclusively interact with it on my phone with a 3rd party app. As soon as the app stops working, I stop Reddit. I'm not installing the Reddit app. The boycott is kinda a moot point for me.

None, I logged off my account to prevent "unintended" logins while opening the browser and I started my "personal" blackout during reddark stream (I'm not a mod so I didn't have any task to do on it).

I'm not feeling any need to go there either, I feel busy here and that's nice.

[โ€“] WrenofDelpan 1 points 1 year ago

I completely deleted the app, so not at all. I used it in my shortcut bar, and muscle memory had me accidentally opening the app that took its place lol

[โ€“] [email protected] 1 points 1 year ago

I had to set beehaw.org to be the default in libredirect.

I popped in yesterday to delete ten years of my comments (thanks, Power Delete Suite). I'm keeping the account because my filter list on RES makes browsing Reddit tolerable.

I plan to use Reddit to view breaking news and niche topics, but I'm never participating there again. Perhaps Lemmy/Mastodon will be able to provide that functionality in the future, we'll see. I may dump Reddit entirely in favor of curated RSS feeds---but that's a long-term project.

I only ever used reddit on my phone, so I just replaced the app icon on my home screen with Jerboa

Dunno, at least 10

I was a heavy user and have abandoned it and haven't even accidentally gone back to it. Rip the band aid off as they say
