I originally went with the AT LP60XBT when I started buying records a few months ago but replaced it pretty quickly with a Fluance RT82 (using the default Ortofon cartridge) and a ART DJPREII preamp (though as a long time user of Schiit Audio equipment, I'm thinking about picking up a Mani at some point). The AT sounded fine, but I like to tinker, and the idea of a non-replaceable cartridge started to eat at me a bit.
Vinyl and LPs - Analogue Music Goodness
A community discussing turntables, vinyl and the art of listening to high-fidelity music on spinning platters.
Nothing too fancy, but enough for my music-loving-but-definitely-not-audiophile-ears:
- Living room: Rega RP1 with a simple AT-VMN95E
- Office: Audio Technica AT-LP5X with AT-VM95ML
I do 99% of my listening in my office, where I work (and my collection lives ๐ )
Very respectable setup!
Thank you!
My office setup is pretty simple, I use a Pro-Ject Carbon Debut Esprit with the stock Ortofon 2M Red cartridge. I would love a Rega turntable for the living room, though!
I've got a U-Turn Orbit with the Ortofon 2M Red on it, been really liking it so far
Denon DP 65f with an OC9xml and a Denon DP 45f with an AT33PTGII. I just bought Denon 59l and set it up with a VM740ml. They're all great, but my favorite is the 65f.
I got my first turntable earlier this year. A Dual 1019 with Shure M44g and I couldn't be happier.
