It's getting pretty crazy how many articles showcasing a mod for games are getting me excited for something, while news about actual new games isn't.

To be fair, this is pretty special because the scale of the mod is enormous, and it's for a game that is so old and in such a weird state legally that you literally cannot buy it anymore.

For me, this is exciting in part just because it reminds me "oh yeah, this game still exists and there are still ways to play it!"

Huh. I had a look at the installation instructions and have just learnt that the Forshire version of the base game that I've used in the past when installing BFME2 is apparently bad to use. Does some sort of customisation to make it incompatible with other versions and with mods.

When I last looked it was the only version I could get working. Hope these other versions work!
