Ownership is already in really bad shape. We don't much own movies or music anymore so much as stream them, our games are owned by custodial platforms that can delete our accounts or remove the games or our DLC at will, we mostly rent our homes at excessive cost, most software seeks rent from us somehow, we don't have any right to the data generated by our online presence or its immense cash value to large corporations, we've seen wages stagnate since before I was born, AIs are being built from stolen words and art, they've privatized nearly all the infrastructure, we literally don't even own the shares in the capitalist system we're supposed to be tolerating, they're poisoning the rivers and now...

...Now we're asked to sit tight while banks issue their own cryptocurrency. It's not that this is a specific conspiracy about money, maybe. But only a fool would act as if the world has not already been stolen and gotten away with.
