Apollo is staying on my phone. Just like tweetbot did.
Right next to darksky
Same. I'm not removing it. :(

It might be worth keeping it so you can access the purchased wallpapers. Also without the new api key it’s unlikely to be able to pull any data from Reddit anyway

I said goodbye to Apollo last night as well. Its like having to put down a sick older family dog or something 😥
Good analogy. I feel like it should be noted the dog was fit and healthy until a shitty neighbour fed it chocolate on purpose.
I totally get it. A decade worth of memories and real cool people.. and a damn sexy app to experience it all with.
I can only dream that I can experience it all again here. I have faith ✊🏾
I have to say though, Memmy + Lemmy is doing a good job filling the void.
Have you tried wefwef.app yet? It's web-based, but an impressive homage to Apollo. I don9t know if I'll stick with it permanently, but it sure is making the transition from Reddit to Lemmy easier.
On iOS, you just visit the site in Safari and save to your home screen.

It’s weird how emotional this is, it’s “just” an app. But the whole community and the developer felt like a family on some sort. Hope Lemmy will feel the same after a while with, for me, Memmy.

I need to go download all the wallpapers first.
I just deleted both of my accounts. I'm finally free. There's one community I will occasionally go back and check on but I'll never post on Reddit again.

I also just removed Apollo, now there is an empty space in my heart, I hope Mlem can fill it, at least just a little bit.
Just deleted my Reddit account.
