Another excellent site is https://firesmoke.ca/forecasts/current/ It provides more info than airgov, as in where the fires are, interactive map, and more. I personality use both.

Ooh thanks, I'd not heard of it before. It overwhelmed my phone but looks fantastic on a desktop. If I'm reading it right it looks like it forecasts 18 hours or so into the future; have you found it to be accurate?

Extremely. I have actually watched the haze level change by the hour on the day of forecast. Off from 12 hours they are not too bad; but as with weather it always changes. Was predicted to be in the Orange today but the wind stream and pressure zone didn't change much so was in the Red.
