Pretty much title. I have to be in call certain days from 12-5 sometimes 12-7, and I’m worried about not waking up with the call. I don’t want to just make my ringtone something obnoxious. Is there a way to set it so an alarm sound will go off when I get a call between certain days/times?

I don’t think there is a solution for this with shortcuts. You could use focus modes or the VIP system to make sure your phone rings at that time, and maybe set the volume and silent mode during these times, but there isn’t a trigger to run shortcuts when receiving a phone call

If you’re on Android, I bet you can set this up with Tasker. It’s a powerful app so fairly complicated, but the community there is great and helpful

I would check out Shortcuts on iOS and ITTT on Android.

That’s why I’m looking on the shortcut community! I tried looking online and the shortcuts subreddit came up (still private) so seeing if someone else knows about this

Oh, I'm an idiot... I'm still getting used to kbin and didn't even see where this was posted

I did a little digging and it doesn't look like Shortcuts yet has a trigger based on calls. Messages and emails, sure, but not calls. Which seems like an odd omission.

No worries at all! I know a lot of us are getting used to new interface (: and thanks for the info! Maybe I’ll look into apps

There is an Automation trigger for Messages, but I don’t see one for Phone calls unfortunately.

Only thing I can think that might help would be creating an “On Call” focus which you could schedule for the days/times you want and then whitelist the phone app as the only app you allow notifications from. Then you could crank up the call volume.

I know that’s not really what your looking for though…
