A place to talk about roller coasters and parks that have them. Everyone is welcome here to both learn and to celebrate these magnificent machines designed to scare you.

Here are some important resources:

  1. RCDB
  2. Thrill Data
  3. Coast2Coaster
  4. Terminology and Abbreviations

Images are welcome if they are of high quality and it doesn't get out of hand. Please use PostImages to upload your image and then use that link in the URL field of your post (other image sites are permitted but Post Images has the best policies and compatibility).

Some basic rules:

  1. Opinions, theories, and facts are all welcome – but be clear about what you’re saying.

  2. Back up facts with sources as much as possible

  3. No spam or sell-promotion. Linking to your own media or site is permissible only if it’s specifically related to a topic/post that someone else created.

  4. No photos or videos taken on the rides. This is dangerous and shouldn't be encouraged.

  5. Limit political discussion. When discussed it must be park related.

  6. No fictional coasters (models, no limits, planet coaster, etc)

  7. No posting personal information.

  8. No shaming of anyone. We all can continue to learn and not everyone knows everything -- and that's ok.

The short trains are kind of hilarious but the ride looks great. I'm so glad to see this ride was saved from being scrapped.

This video is horrendous but I’m really excited to check this one out next year! Indiana Beach is a reasonable day trip for me, yet I still haven’t been there.

I kind of like the video but I'll agree it really doesn't serve the purpose of a POV at all. IB is a great park.... not an all day park but what is there is really good. I especially love LoCoSuMo -- that ride is worth the trip IMHO.

That's great! What a classic! So glad it got brought back from the dead, even though I would never ride it myself. :)

Is there a reason for the short trains or was it always that way?

It ran with 5 cars in Mexico but I believe the trains may be from Mindbender (GalaxyLand) which ran with 3. Both source rides had accidents due to poor maintenance so it may be an issue of just not having enough parts to build a full 5 car train but also could be in the interest of reducing forces. I don't know any of this for certain but just some somewhat-educated speculation. I think the biggest reason why it looks so weird is because the default image of those trains typically relates more to the park installations like SooperDooperLooper.
