All the Lemmy apps devs are awesome.
Memmy - An iOS client for Lemmy
When I saw the Christian Selig inspired theme I almost teared up. Apollo was just the perfect app. Memmy is so similar and definitely headed in the right direction.
As soon as I saw the sunset theme I felt at home.
NGL, I’d still like haptics a bit lighter as they’re still stronger than Apollo. Mainly the haptics when doing swipe gestures on comments. It’s not a huge issue though. Also why is the upvote and downvote haptics on posts so… chunky? That’s the best way I can describe it. It’s weird
I wonder if a slider could be used for fine tuning? Might be too much though.
Yea that’s what I suggested, honestly most haptics are fine on light I just want the swipe haptics on comments to be lighter like Apollo, and for the upvote and downvote haptics on post to be changed because they feel a little weird
You're actively making the product you use better!
You apparently requested this not long before I did :)
The result is that I made the request, and when the next update came in like 2 hours later, it was in there.
For a hot second, I felt like they were reading my mind!
Man honestly I’m happy with Memmy. What’s even more shocking is how fast this app is coming along. I also like that the design feels like a native iOS app kinda like Apollo did. This app feels good honestly and it’s kinda cool to get updates and see new things to check out. The only way I may leave is if the dev for Apollo makes a lemmy app.
The haptics don't work for me at all on iPad. Works normally on my phone, though.
Really? I don’t have a physical iPad to even test this unfortunately and wasn’t even aware iPads had haptics these days. Do you not get any feedback at all?
Do they not have haptics? I'm not sure. I was just missing the little vibration from the slide to vote action because it's not obvious how far you have to "pull" the comment for the upvote to go through. It takes me multiple tried on my iPad, but on my phone I can just let go as soon as I feel the haptic feedback.
