The mid-engined Toyota Previa.

My family had one when I was a kid, the supercharged model, with captains chairs in the second row that could be spun around to face the third row to create a chill hangout zone when parked or for long road trips.

I grew up thinking it was normal to lift the driver's seat to access the engine. I was not a smart child.

I came across a listing recently of a JDM Previa (Estima) for someone important in Japan with every option. I looked through my history but could not find it. :(

Do you remember what they where asking for it?

It wasn't crazy but I live in California so JDM cars are almost impossible to register. I rarely remember the prices.

Part of me wants to take one of those and 1UZ swap it. Would be ridiculous and absolute fun.

I think the best bet would be a boxer motor. You would have a better change of getting it to fit I would think.

That's fair. I guess it depends on how far you want to go with a sawzall. What I had in mind with my other comment was this guy's van, which apparently had a 1JZ shoved into it: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=odwakzXeECQ&ab_channel=PacoIbarra%2FTofuDriftVan

Toyota Previa!!!

Growing up my family had one of these. Still remember how much space it had inside, little passage way between the driver and passenger seat!

As an Australian I was thinking it was a Tarago. Then I checked google. TIL.
