I was hoping this would be about scientism, but it's just another right-winger on Schlubstack bawwwing about how too many scientists are buying into what he considers to be groupthink surrounding anthropogenic climate change.

This article is obscurantist crap that deliberately obscures the reality of the processes of finding ever more reliable knowledge. The opposite of ‘science’ is ‘making shit up’, never forget that when people try to cast doubt on a solid scientific consensus.

Two scientists can come to opposite conclusions and still both be excellent scientists doing excellent science. It’s about the method followed. Science is not about always being right. It’s about being wrong sometimes, but doing so in the right way so that you and others can learn from the errors.
