I’m a pc guy but came from console, so I haven’t play cod in years. I’m way more excited for CS2 but I got the new COD to play with some friends.

I know people talk about how awful it is but I’m actually enjoying the gameplay. My biggest gripe rn is the UI. I can’t figure out how anything works but sitting down and getting a kill every 2 min is classic COD and pretty fun

The campaign is just the lamest thing they’ve ever put out. The gameplay is of course fine.

I'm sure about 90% of the buyers just bought it for multiplayer. Although yeah that campaign story died in MW2 and this last one was hot garbage. such a waste. Definitely not worth $70

While most of my time is MP I always enjoy playing the campaigns. I’d rather they include nothing than just half-ass it. Clearly was never intended to release like this.

Didn’t they try that and then people got really pissed about the lack of campaign?

Black Ops 4 did try it and it was a common criticism but it there were plenty of complaints about the multiplayer of it.

BO4 in general was bad tbh. They tried a lot of new things that didn’t work in that game, then kept them anyways despite people not liking them

It's 200gb+ install.

Fuck that.

It’s less about quality now and more about them milking the same game for another $70 when a lot of players already paid $100 for last years edition (that was advertised as having a 2 year lifespan).

It’s absolutely great for casual FPS players because that’s what it’s catering to. It wants to be the game where you can sit down and get a few kills without too much effort. It’s awful for anyone far enough above average because the game specifically caters to lower skilled players.

For example, the nerfing of movement in the last few games has made the strategy of camping in a corner much more effective. If you’re pre-aiming a corner, an aggressive player is only going to make it out in maybe 1 out of 10 tries because the movement is so slow you aren’t able to react and ADS in time.

Another big thing is Zombies. Some of us primarily buy cod for zombies, and MW3 Zombies is an insult to the mode (as has every other zombies since BO3, with a minor, but not full, exception for BO4)

It’s a lot of people fed up with being sold the same game for full price every year with no improvements to the game and matchmaking that is often punishing to good players. Casual FPS fans are never going to have a problem with it, so it’ll keep selling every year

The multiplayer is fine. Unlocking stuff is different. I'm still confused as to why I have to use different guns to earn attachments for guns I wanna use.

If you played MW2 in 2009, you'll like the maps in multiplayer.
