What was Rick Prime trying to achieve by killing all the Dianes?

He was mad that C-137 Rick chose Diane over him and so to prevent him from ever having Diane (his or any other universes) he killed them all. Since C-137 was the only other Rick to invent portal travel he had to be sure they were all eliminated.
