One day I’ll tire of using the space mouse with my left hand in that visually satisfying location, and place it between the keyboard’s halves. Today is not that day.

What's the knob on the left do

Anything you would like:

  • Volume

  • Brightness

  • Zoom in/out

  • Scroll up/down

  • Scroll left/right

  • Color picking and other stuff while designing Etc. The possibilities are endless. You can even add key+encoder combinations.

Are there any decent less-pricey options? I fell in love with the Griffin Powermate but unsupported on the PC, and the Microsoft Surface Dial is functionally useless for anything but a scroll wheel

I've on and off considered getting a space mouse for the last couple of years because I do several hours of 3D design every day. Anyone have any experience with them?

I don't have any experience with those, but i'm looking lately to upgrade my G305. I have been using lately my wired G502 and while g305 is a good mouse i have been felling much much comfy with the G502, even though it is wired.
