Yeah, here in my part of Wales there are bodies piled up in the street and everybody is unemployed since they changed the speed limits. FFS, what a fuss about a minor change that makes our streets fell nicer

I think what we're seeing here is the start of an electoral strategy for some labour MPs, despite the benefits far outweighing the downsides on 20mph, it's undeniably disliked across a lot of the country.
I may be just being pessimistic but I could absolutely see labour MPs in more Plaid or Conservative areas trying to gain easy points by attacking 20mph.
Politicians indulging populist nonsense for short-term electoral advantage? Let's hope not - I think we've seen enough of that recently...
