Anyone know why some people's oaks carpet bomb their yard with acorns and some don't? Wondered this while walking the dog the other day, I've got one house on the block that is just covered in acorns, Noone else's lot is as bad.

Every 2-5 years an oak will have a "mast year" where it will produce a lot more acorns than usual, so maybe that's the case here.
