My mackbook died so ive been daily driving on my T440p. I got a new monitor, speakers and desk this week so im gonna get that all spiffy this weekend.

we work a 9/80 schedule with every other Friday off
What does that mean exactly, I assume the 9 is the hours worked in a day? But what is the 80? How many hours your do in 2 weeks in total?
My plans for the weekend as with every weekend is just to try to catch up with everything that needs to be done (never happens) and got DnD on Sunday.
Sadly not quite time for vacation for me yet. Only going last week of June and first week of August and even that is not out of my own free will, if I could pick I would go in September or not go at all.

You got it about the 9/80. Nine hours a day; 5 days one week (8 hours on Friday), 4 days the other week, for a total of 80 hours in two weeks.
Have fun with the DnD! It's not for me, but husband plays with his friends in Germany too, which is really nice.
What is your vacation plan? And why do you have to take it then, rather than September?

This is a bit of a coincidence but my boyfriend is also German and he should be coming over from Germany when I have my vacation. So the plan so far is to just hang out, him seeing some friends that live around where I do and possibly buying myself a new car if things work out. I don't think we will be doing anything too vacation-y because its literally the worst time to go on vacation when it comes to traffic+prices.
Because of company policy. They want everyone to take their 14 day vacation (you technically legally have to have that once a year by law, but its not really enforced) at the same time.
I have some fun reverse engineering I wanna look at :D our family recently traded in phones, and before I had to wipe my old iphone, i jailbroke it and found out how to export all the notes, cause I wanted to keep the formatting and all images, so it's a niche use case. Ive got about 1.8 GB to sift through, and I've been able to retrieve the raw note of one already! When i'm done i'm gonna post it to a jailbreak sub, cause afaik this info doesnt exist on the internet yet :) I'm also super excited to see if I can write a rust program to reconstruct everything in one swoop, then open source it for the two random ppl who'll use it Lol. Been too exhausted from work to have time to work on it, but I'm hoping I can make some progress here and there during the weekend!
That and my girlfriend's birthday is coming up soon and I have a few things I wanna put together for her :) In fact, some of those notes have some super sweet messages to her I haven't sent yet, especially before we became official, so I guess technically this weekend is all about her 💕

Yupp, it's funny, I had two legitimate cases to jailbreak, the notes export ofc, and the other reason was this legacy restriction setting from an older iOS that got synced, and is impossible to unset in newer iOS versions (prevented me from accessing discord app for example, since it was a 17+ app). Apple support couldnt help me, and last I checked all the replies were shadow-banned 🤣. Felt great when I could fix both things myself though! (And without any info online on how to do either of them at that!)
As for my gf, we first met online around late 2020/early 2021. We both kinda had a crush on each other since the beginning, but wayyyy too shy to ever do anything. She made the first major moves in talking in DMs around April 2021. She was very conflicted about a long distance relationship however, so sorting through feelings got confusing. But by early 2022, ig we knew it was meant to be. I asked if I could call her mine and it's been magical ever since :) ✨
