All joking aside, when I first played A Final Unity, I thought the idea of another Vulcan offshoot was the coolest thing.

True story, when I was 7 I got this game for Christmas, installed it on the spot and started playing, but this lady was so intimidating that I got spooked, quit, and didn't touch it again for years

Probably because you were in the wrong franchise not to mention the wrong ship

That’s true, it could have been worse. She could have been as stupid as she is ugly.

What is the offshoot's name? Never played this one.

Garidian. They're a subject species of the Romulan Star Empire, and use similar ships, but theirs are a pale brown/grey with red designs.

One of them showed up in the PIC prequel tie-in novel staring Troi and Riker, and apparently they're in STO now as well.

Now that's a name I've not heard in a long time.

In weird things I don't need to remember but do the patch notes for that included a change to the self destruct mechanism regarding whether it was only a bluff tactic or you could actually self destruct.

To make things more odd I can't recall which way the change was. I think it was to actually be able to self destruct.
