Trying to click a link in the top of a post is way too difficult.

  1. You can’t open a text link from the newsfeed. You have to open the post, then tap the link.

  2. Even in the opened post, the link is next to impossible to open if the text is too close to the preview link at the top of the post.

For an example, try tapping “discussion on Hacker News” link in any of the hacker news posts. 99% of the time it will take you to the linked story instead of the discussion.

I've opened an issue for it (https://github.com/mlemgroup/mlem/issues/746). We're super busy getting Lemmy 0.19 compatibility sorted, but we should get around to it soonish.

Thanks for filing this! I’ve noticed recently that aiming for the text on the next line, immediately beneath the link, usually opens the link. Maybe something is shifting the hit box half a step downward? Or maybe it’s a nice big hit box, but the linked image directly above the link text is overlapping it?
