The trick is to freeze them for about 20 mins, spray the inside with lemon juice, toss them out, and buy a plastic one at Michael's.

Look's spooky though

That's why I'm making pumpkin pie right after taking a picture of the carved pumpkin so the spook will be inside of us all along.

That's pretty wholesome

Decay, poison and rot fits well within Halloween!

Was hoping someone had magical cure for this

There actually is. You can either spray the inside and cut surfaces with hairspray, or smear them with Vaseline. That will seal it from the atmosphere and it should last a lot longer.

Hairspray seems kinda flammable... But you sound knowledgeable enough 🀣

Yeah it’s best if you spray it on well in advance of lighting the candle…

Will do, going to have to be next year now ;)

I actually didn't know if it was or not. I did some research and apparently it's not. "Vaseline is not very flammable. Though it is made from petroleum (which can be very flammable) it will not ignite easily in most situations.".

You can also spray the inside with a vinegar solution

Ah there's the pro tip!

I know a family who has a pumpkin festival at their house every Halloween. They do hairspray.

There was a magical cure for this back in the day. In ancient times pumpkins like these were displayed outside where the weather was cold enough for them to keep for weeks. Now that we've raised the planet's temperature, that isn't a good option in many places.

I'm in this picture and I don't like it.

You shouldn't have taken weeks to come up with the perfect design in the first place!

Sad thing :(
