The soldiers have since exited the area and returned to Israeli territory.

It was a pre-invasion to prepare for the big one

They crossed the border, shot at a bunch of Hamas, bulldozed some low fences around fields and cleared out underbrush - basically making a dirt road.

And then left after a few hours.

Er, yes it will.

Modern urban warfare is an absolute bloodbath for all involved. The battle of Fallujah in Iraq in 2004 was extremely violent and led to many deaths on all sides.

I don't know, Israelis soldiers may notice the difference when their opponents are not scared children anymore. But we'll see I guess..
