Friend of mine's wife was going to have the baby this afternoon by Caeserian. Still no word. bites fingernails
Does anyone else think it was extremely muggy last night? I felt like I was boiling all night and really struggled to regulate temperature.
Sleep always goes sideways on weekends… nooo. I need to function today.
I started browsing books and seeds.
Long
Saw a different native seed mix and started checking out each variety in the mix. One looked very familiar. It turns out I’ve had a native iris outside the whole time (it was here when I moved in). TIL I’ve been doing my bit.
The Yates gardening book looked good with one pic of vegetables on the front but from the description might be more geared towards boomers with big landscaped yards and big ornamental plants.
I liked the garden like a Nonno one about growing food but then again it could be one of those books that are about being trendily folksy and telling quaint anecdotes, with a few useful things you really have to dig for. You know what I mean. There has to be a name for that.
I want the birdwatching book and the shitty little binoculars. On days I feel like crap I can creep on the little feathered friends and hopefully one day know what they’re called.
There’s a hanging birdbath at Bunnings to entice them with if I can just work out whether they can easily land on it in the one hangable spot I have.
Edit: Ah. It would need to be cleaned daily to not spread sickness and I don’t think I can handle that.
Also I thought of planting sunflowers - but even if the aggressive creeping grass coming in from the neighbour didn’t choke the seedlings/the whipper snipper didn’t cut them down the seeds are junk food and bad for birds.
I wasn't really liking Skyrim. Going to try out Red Dead Redemption, so I'm back in download purgatory for a while.
RDR1? It took me 2 attempts to get into that game but played it all the way through once I gave it the energy it deserved. I haven't found that energy to do the same for RDR2 yet unfortunately and haven't progressed very far into it. I got overwhelmed by side quests and thinking about the little things trying to make sure I didn't miss out on anything, when I really wanted to just focus on the story. I should give it some more time and ignore everything but the main story.
I’ve been playing with a lot of googling and the walkthroughs open. I enjoy it best this way. Witcher 3 remains my comfort game.
Witcher 3 kept crashing on me, especially in some sections that were part of the main questline. Other than that it was quite good, although a bit heavier on the recorded video rather than gameplay approach in some sections.
Watching Unforgotten and I always forget how brilliant Nicola Walker is, she does tend to play the same sort of character, but she really does nail it every time.
Love that show. And yes, primarily started watching it because of Nicola Walker. She's consistently excellent.
Haha, all I can ever picture when I see her, is her using her offputtingly long tongue to eat dinner, in the episode of Jonathan Creek she was in!
Is it a bad sign if the recruiter asks you to add a bunch of stuff to your resume that you left out before they submit it to the company? Or is it a good sign.
Depends what you left out
So much for WFH. Back into work every day till Christmas BC tradies are doing works on my apartment building.

I tried Aldi's fish cakes tonight and they were quite underwhelming. All the fish cakes I've tried had fish flakes and maybe some mash potato. These were more like fish flavoured mash potato. Very fragile in the airfryer. Maybe I should have fried them in the frying pan with oil but I didn't see any instructions. Yeah it's a no from all of us which is a rarity.
Thank you for reviewing saves me the pain of a potential bad purchase.
They were disgraceful and I eat pretty much anything.
Lots of packages today - all the organising supplies I ordered. I have been busy going through everything and assembling things. A few missing things and one breakage to apply for refunds on too - Miss Meow's incomplete house and a cracked container have been refunded from Kmart, and I have submitted a request for Temu for a couple of things I didn't receive the right number of. The actual pulling things out or cupboards and rearranging part can wait until tomorrow.
