the monitor that my ex gifted to me suddenly died today. like it just won't light up no matter what troubleshooting i did... just like our relation-- oops haha di tayo iiyak dahil double pay ngayon, we work hard despite the challenges, haha! good morning!:D

This day shaping up to be a snoozefest.. slept at 12MN, woke up at 8AM to eat breakfast, slept again, and now kakagising ko lang ulit.... I LOVE IT

Update on using Jerboa v0.0.35 with a Lemmy.world login:

Not great. I'm experiencing a lot of errors and random(?) app crashes. I'm going to downgrade to v.0.0.34

Edit: Nope, downgrading doesn't work either. The app just flat out crashes after a few seconds.

Edit 2: I'm now using Connect (for Lemmy), lol! Need to get used to the slightly new UI.

Yeah the experience on 3rd party apps is better. This is what Reddit fucked up with their API changes. Can't help but to interject "fuck Spez" here yet again. I'm currently using thunder and it fits what I'm looking for in a lemmy client the most.

I was thinking of waiting for a while before I go around and give 3rd party apps a good try. But then again, this Lemmy.world vs. Jerboa problem has forced me to accelerate the timeline, sort of.

I kinda like Jerboa's aesthetic too. It's simple and clean. And though some of the UX feels a bit clunky, it's similar enough to Fedilab that I didn't really mind it much.

It's basically how interacting with comments via Connect that really had me adjusting, lol! Other than that, there's really not much to get used to.

I might give Thunder and others a try too. Ang focus ko kasi kagabi is to just have something I can use for mobile, and my fingers are a bit too clumsy to use the mobile site (through a mobile browser).

This is what Reddit fucked up with their API changes.

And yeah. Lemmy's app landscape is already surprisingly varied especially given that it's just barely a month since it's got enough users to really warrant a handful of 3rd party apps.

Hassle din yung commute (unless meron kang sariling car or magga-Grab/Angkas or taxi).

Yung pinakamalapit na public transpo (jeep) is sa may Harrison pa. May mga e-trikes naman from PICC to LRT raw, pero OP kasi 40 pesos per pax.

Whenever I watch videos on deep sea creatures I feel a bit creeped out...and also fascinated. Imagine being alone in the deep sea and suddenly you're faced with a 24 ft shark out of nowhere. I'm so tiny in this world~ Whoa

Makahanap nga ng deep sea horror manga/book. Or maybe something similar to A Space Odyssey pero deep sea version ganun hehehe. Ang thrilling nung feeling na hindi mo alam kung na-eexcite ka ba o natatakot 😆 ay

Reading Lost Connections made me lose trust on FDA, Watching You Don't Know Nicotine made me lose trust on WHO, I dunno but the more I delve deeper into Health Science the more I divert to popular opinions, am I getting insane or the world is?, is my beliefs an opinion or a prejudice?, am I overeducated or semiliterate?

Google is planning to kill Waze daw as per https://lemmy.world/post/728456

I don't know kung medyo dinosaur ako but the last time I used Google Maps, parang calibrated yung directions nya for motorcycle kahit na naka car setting. Pinapadaan nya kame sa isang u-turn slot sa Kalayaan Ave before na motor lang magkakasya.

Edit3: I made it work! Yey!
